Поет, кіносценарист, драматург, перекладач, мислитель, громадський діяч, політик, лауреат Шевченківської премії і Державної премії СРСР, Іван Драч (нар. 1936 р.) свого часу стрімко увірвався в літературу «шістдесятників» і своєю оригінальною поезією наробив чимало галасу. В кінематографі саме за сценаріями Драча було створено низку справді культових фільмів — «Пропала грамота», «Криниця для спраглих», «Камінний хрест». Його поезію добре знають і люблять не тільки в Україні, а й далеко за її межами. У видавництві «Фоліо» вийшли друком збірка поетичних перекладів і статей митця «Наближення» (2008) та збірка поезій «Сивим конем» (2011).
